Chantemerle International School - Bilingual class (4 to 6 years)
Chantemerle International School opens a new day school division. English speaking children or children with international backgrounds will follow the British National Curriculum with French as a primary foreign language. The British National Curriculum covers the following stages:
- Reception year: children aged 4-5 years
- Year 1: children aged 5-6 years;
We focus on every child's personal development and our mission is to allow for each child to receive individual attention from our caring and committed teachers.
Class schedule : Monday to Friday, 09h00 to 15h00. For parents who require flexible schedules, we propose our Breakfast Club (healthy breakfast served as from 07h15) and our Afterschool Club (up to 17h30) at no extra charge.
While English language and literacy, maths and other primary subjects taught by an experienced British primary school teacher, pupils in this programme can also benefit from Chantemerle's strong French tradition. They are introduced to the French language through secondary activities such as arts & crafts, games, songs and theatre given by a native French primary schoolteacher. Sports and outdoor activities are also given in the French language.
While this new programme has its own premises in a unique setting, all children can benefit from Chantemerle on property facilities and activities.
The school is situated on 7 acres of landscaped garden, with a private forest and river. The school is exceptionally well located near Montreux and Geneva, overlooking lake Léman and the Swiss alps. Blonay, a charming and picturesque village is renowned for its 13th century castle and its antic steam train that passes at the foot of the property.
