Preparation For University Entrance
Students are prepared for university entrance. That is why the academic program of the Anglo-American section is strongly college-preparatory. Students planning to attend American universities are prepared for College Board examinations and receive the high school diploma on successful completion of 12th grade. Specially designed courses are available for entry to business or other colleges.
The postgraduate year offers mature students intensive business, economics and computer studies. The important Department of Business Studies offers a full Trans-Academic program in English.
English Speaking Section
A pupil is normally permitted to follow the next grade or form in Monte Rosa if he or she has been promoted by a previous official school system. Pupils who have been in different school systems should consult the Director of Studies. She reserves the right to place new pupils in courses and subjects according to their aptitudes and achievement.
Primary school: Monte Rosa welcomes your children from the 4th year. We offer subjects according to their interest and their level. Do not wait to discover our primary school program and to register your children for next school year.
Junior High School: Our private school provides junior high school courses for grade 7 (Form 1) and for grade 8 (Form 2). Our team provides various general subjects accompanied with at least one foreign language.
High school: In our private high school, your children from grade 9 to grade 12 will increase their knowledge and discover new subjects through numerous programs added to the classical one. The goal of our educational team is to provide them a prestigious teaching for preparing them for University and Business Schools.
English as foreign / second language
The main language of our private school is English that is why our courses are taught through this language. Monte Rosa is also the best way for preparing for English Language Examinations such as the TOEFL or IELTS.

Our program is composed of four main courses. They can be taken separately, concurrently, or progressively over two or three years. English As Foreign/second Language (EFL/ESL)
Pupils whose mother tongue is not English may be admitted into the English speaking Section, and then follow special preparatory courses (Intensive English Program).
The following are the main English Language Examinations for which pupils are prepared:
– University of Cambridge Examinations Syndicate: KET to Proficiency Certificates in English.
– The CEEB Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
All other normal examinations (SAT etc) can be taken either in school or within the area.
