Leysin American School in Switzerland
Leysin American Switzerland boarding High School educates children to be responsible, productive, and ethical citizens. We emphasize on gaining the skills of creative thinking, critical reasoning and effective communication. Most boarding schools focus on preparing students for the academic rigors of college life, but only few prepare students for living on their own. According to our boarding students, Leysin Switzerland boarding school does both. Our graduates are more independent, organized, self-confident and better prepared to make the future academic decisions. Plus, the safe and sunny Swiss Alpine location – Leysin is a perfect place for quality studies. Progressive lessons, and warm welcoming environment, and cozy discussion evenings next to the fire-place, supporting parents and a magical mountain of Leysin all contribute to the making of our Switzerland boarding school students.
We are an independent Swiss boarding school that focuses on university preparation for grades 9-12 (as well as optional PG and 13th grades). In addition to the fact that our student body is 350 (from six continents representing all major religions and cultures of the world, with approximately one third being American passport holders); our average classroom size is 14; the teacher-student ratio is 1 to 8; - our graduates have excellent placements in North American, European and Far Eastern universities. Students are offered an American high school diploma or International Baccalaureate, with additional options of individual AP or IB classes to suit particular interests.
Our Leysin Switzerland boarding school is one of the Switzerland’s premier, co-educational American boarding institutions, which takes advantage of the spectacular mountain location – Leysin. We provide the best international education in the Alps region.
